Environment
The environment is important for Weka. As a long-time marine company we are convinced that environmental aspects must be considered. We promote the boxcooler as an environmental alternative to conventional internal cooling systems (e.g. oil leakage problems). It is also for this reason important for us that the boxcooler meets high environmental standards.
It is known that certain boxcooler types have a protection system against corrosion which is based on copper dissolution, which we do not consider an environmentally friendly system. Weka has a corrosion protection system which is based on environmentally friendly electronic drain control.
It is also known that certain boxcooler types have an epoxy-coating which requires chemical cleaning and which due to lower heat dissipation needs to be built unnecessarily big. The Weka copper-nickel Hi-Resist boxcoolers are very resistant to polluted water and are the only boxcoolers with natural anti-fouling. Hi-Resist solves the marine growth problem.
